Ainlsie Pharmacy is proud to be associated with Venosan Medical Support and Compression Hosiery. Venosan are manufactured in Switzerland and comply with strict international standards to guarantee the correct compression ratio. The hosiery is knitted to provide graduated compression to the leg with the greatest pressure at the ankle, to assist blood flow back to the heart.
The yarns used include cotton, micro fibre with Tactel (to wick moisture away from the legs) nylon, Lycra and Silver. Silver has anti fungal and anti bacterial properties which will help in the healing of some skin conditions.
The special design and superior quality of Venosan hosiery provide long-wearing comfort, and ensure that they are cool to wear. There is also a fashion range of hosiery for those who prefer more comfortable legs at the end of the day.
What you need to do:
Should you require Venosan hosiery for medical purposes, please see your doctor for a referral prior to visiting our staff for measurement and fitting. If unsure, feel free to contact our pharmacy for advice.
If you require other hosiery eg. Venosan travel range, please simply contact our staff, Monday to Friday for a fitting – doctor’s referrals are not needed. For all fittings, it is essential to be measured in the morning, between 9:00am and 11:00 am, and not to exercise before your fitting. This ensures that the hosiery is just right for you and comfortable to wear.
